John - On the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, thank you for being a faithful and generous member of the Ignatian family.
John,
July 31 marks the celebration of the Feast of St. Ignatius. In honor of the feast, we recall St. Ignatius' powerful Prayer for Generosity:
“Lord, teach me to be generous; teach me to serve you as you deserve...”
We are so grateful for the ways in which your generosity and service as a member of the Ignatian family embody and advance the Ignatian Solidarity Network's faith and justice mission.
For 20 years, ISN has inspired people of all ages, especially young people, to deepen their commitment and cultivate their knowledge and skills to work for justice rooted in Catholic Social Teaching. Gatherings like the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice, Arrupe Leaders Summit, Ignatian Justice Summit, and many other programs and campaigns offer spaces for growth and networking. And, just like the early days of advocacy for human rights in Central America at the gates of a U.S. military base, our response to the signs of the times continues through our work to build a more just world for people who are migrating, for workers, and for the Earth.
Your generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure provide the resources and community ISN needs to work toward a world in which the dignity of all is upheld—both people and planet—as we journey together on the road toward justice.
Thank you for being a part of the Ignatian family, a generous witness to the legacy of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
Peace,
Christopher G. Kerr
