Family, you deserve an explanation.

With just a few hours remaining until my July fundraising deadline, I want to make sure you understand why these emails are so important to our ability to fundraise.

Many of my Senate colleagues on the other side of the aisle accept campaign donations from corporate lobbyists. From Big Pharma. From the fossil fuel industry.

Their presidential nominee Donald Trump does the same — including when he openly solicited a $1 billion donation from fossil fuel executives at Mar-a-Lago earlier this year.

I don’t take their money, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This election is going to mean so much for the future. For abortion and voting rights. For gun safety. For our climate.

I’m working to help reelect my Democratic Senate colleagues and help us win up and down the ballot so that we can address the needs of the American people, not special interests and megadonors bankrolling the Republican Party. Can you pitch in $5 or any amount you can afford?
