Friend,
People in Sudan are facing one of the world's worst crises in decades.
Over one year since war erupted in Sudan, people have been cut off from vital humanitarian aid. Between violence, malnutrition, and the lack of access to medical care, people are struggling to survive. In North Darfur, home to Zamzam camp, a catastrophic malnutrition crisis is growing everyday—the camp has not received food distribution since May 2023. MSF is one of the few organizations still providing humanitarian aid, including malnutrition treatment, in many parts of Sudan.
“Every day we see children perishing due to malnutrition,” said Jean Stowell, MSF head of mission in Sudan. The sad reality is, malnutrition is the single greatest threat to the world’s public health, with a particularly devastating effect on young children.
MSF has already scaled up our response by opening a second health clinic in Zamzam camp, enrolling over 11,000 children in our nutrition program and opening a 35-bed field hospital to treat the most critical cases. Give now to power MSF’s lifesaving response to reach children in Sudan and beyond with the lifesaving nutrition they need.
