John, it's Tribute Month at Autism Speaks. So we're asking: Who is your “why”?
We are grateful every day that you are part of our big-hearted Autism Speaks family. And we know that you have your own reasons for embracing our mission to support and empower people on the spectrum, their caregivers and their families.
For many, that reason is a loved one with autism or someone else in the autism community. This July, we are celebrating each and every one of these beautiful and brave spirits during our annual Tribute Month. John, the families you see pictured above include a few current Autism Speaks staff members and some of the people in their lives who are their “why.” Many of us have family members who are on the spectrum, and many of us are caregivers. We are also immensely proud of our autistic team members, who devote themselves to helping others and enrich every level of our organization.
