Your support will help children like Faruk, Raisa, and Mohammad…
When we first met Faruk, a shy three-year old from Ethiopia, he was on the verge of life-long vision loss and blindness due to a serious condition called strabismus. Faruk was treated during a surgical training in Hawassa, Ethiopia, where he was able to get treatment at no cost to him, and his vision was restored.
Raisa, a baby girl from rural Bangladesh was born six weeks early and at risk of losing her vision permanently to an eye condition called retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). But today, she’s a healthy toddler with full sight—because of the treatment she received at an Orbis’s partner hospital in Bangladesh.
Mohammad, a bright young boy from the Bay of Bengal, couldn’t see the blackboards at school and needed help with simple tasks that we take for granted, like reading his favorite books. His parents took him to an Orbis partner hospital where he was diagnosed with cataracts and had surgery on both eyes that returned his sight.
It’s thanks to supporters like you that we can celebrate Faruk, Raisa, and Mohammad’s restored vision. But there are so many more children like them waiting for the care they need. When you give to Orbis, you are giving a child a better and clearer future. Can we count on you to help a little boy or girl who desperately needs you?
