"I'm Governor Gavin Newsom, and I'm asking for your support"

Governors are on the front lines of defending our democracy. Laura, let me be clear: Donald Trump is more unhinged, more extreme, and more dangerous now than he ever was. And he’s not alone. Across the country, MAGA extremists are following Donald Trump and his far-right running mate J.D. Vance’s lead. They’ve silenced speech and made it harder to cast a ballot. They’ve signed dangerous abortion bans into law. And they’ve even made our democracy a partisan issue.

There are a little over three months left until Election Day and we have to make every single one of those days count.

So I’m asking now: will you rush $148 before the DGA’s end-of-month deadline to stop the GOP and defend our blue firewall in states across the country? We need a huge rush of grassroots support to hit their critical $150,000 fundraising goal and I’m counting on you to step up.

I promise you, Laura, Democratic governors like myself are fighting back. We’re working to safeguard voting rights, protect abortion access, reduce gun violence and deliver for the American people. But we must defeat Donald Trump and every last one of his MAGA followers in the states or risk seeing all the progress we’ve made be undone.

This isn’t going to be easy – the White House, control of Congress, and 11 critical governors' races are all on the ballot including in battleground states like North Carolina and New Hampshire.

In North Carolina, Republicans nominated Mark Robinson, a far-right conspiracy theorist who wants to ban abortion without exceptions. And in New Hampshire, GOP front runner Kelly Ayotte led the charge for a national abortion ban.

There’s too much at stake to fall short, Laura – Trump and his MAGA followers already raised $331 million last quarter and are sure to be stockpiling more to attack our Democrats. Please, Laura, can you chip in whatever you can to help the DGA hit their $150,000 end-of-month fundraising goal? Your support in this moment is absolutely critical – and deeply appreciated.
