John -

As the U.S. endures another year of record-breaking heat waves, droughts,
and floods, the U.S. military continues to pump tons of carbon emissions
into the air for “entertainment.”

How? By hosting military air shows all across the country. Just one team
of Thunderbird fighter jets flying overhead burns 18,200 gallons of jet
fuel per hour — about as much fuel as it takes to fly from New York City
to Paris.^1

This is why, together with our partners at Veterans For Peace, we are
demanding the Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Torros and Secretary of the
Air Force Frank Kendall III to cancel climate-wrecking air shows that
glorify death and destruction. [ [link removed] ]John, can you help send them
a message now?

John, the U.S. military is the single largest institutional
consumer of fossil fuels in the world and therefore one of the key
contributors to the climate crisis. Canceling military air shows is only a
first step, but it’s an important one to draw public attention to the
impact of rising militarism on our planet.

[ [link removed] ]So please, help send a message to Secretary Del Torros and Secretary
Kendall today and demand that they protect our future.

In solidarity,
