Dear Friends,

National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day
I was honored to attend the 17th Annual 727 Armistice Day Commemoration. This year’s event marked the 15th anniversary of the enactment of the law establishing National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day.
During the reception, officials from the Government of the Republic of Korea presented the prestigious Ambassador for Peace Medal to Korean War veterans and their families. It was a great honor to receive this medal on behalf of my late father, Vicente Gonzalez, Sr., a proud Korean War veteran. His sacrifice during this conflict, along with all who served, is a testament to their courage, strength, and dedication to keeping our country safe. I am incredibly grateful for this recognition of his service.

I also discussed ways to continue growing the robust trade between our nations and how best to address insecurity in Mexico.

Participating in VTX1 Groundbreaking
Recently, I was honored to join the broadband expansion groundbreaking at Isla Blanca Park in South Padre Island in partnership with VTX1 Internet. This project will bring high-speed internet and enhanced connectivity to our community. Having greater access to affordable high-speed internet means increasing education and job opportunities for South Texans. I will continue to support and prioritize legislation, such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, that will increase broadband connectivity for our growing region.
Every day, my office and I ensure federal agencies are working with you and for you. Whether you are having issues with passports, USCIS, OPM, the VA, or the IRS, we are here to assist you.
