John, while I may not have been chosen to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics, I am so proud to support Team USA and my fellow Ohioans, like Simone Biles and Katie Moon, and especially those from OH-13, LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Marcus Christopher.
Some of you may not know, but as a child I was a gymnast myself!
As a young gymnast, I even competed for the AAU National team in the Junior Olympics. I learned so much as a competitive gymnast – more than just physical toughness, gymnastics showed me the importance of hard work and taught me to never give up on something I’m fighting for.
I won’t ever back down from a challenge, John. Every day this campaign and this team is a reminder as to why I never give up. OH-13 is worth fighting for.
As politics goes, the other side will spread lies about me. They will try to hide the fact that I have worked across the aisle to bring lower costs and keep money in Ohioans’ pockets. They will pretend my loyalties lie with my party over the people of our communities. And they will pour millions of dollars into our district to run vicious attack ads.
But their lies won’t work – the only thing that will stick is my landing.
Can I count on you to be on Team Sykes as we face one of the toughest competitions of our life? Please, chip in now and help power us win the gold in November.
