Hey John, At a time when some citizens are demanding that our state be "open for business" immediately, we join together to ask that, instead, we open our minds to the science and facts that will lead us forward safely, and, most importantly, we open our hearts to all those who are suffering. We invite you to attend a virtual community gathering to help comfort, support and uplift all Wisconsinites who are grieving or struggling during this perilous time. Through words and music, we will pay tribute to those who have lost their lives and to those who are fighting for their lives during this crisis. By honoring their loved ones, we hope to bring some comfort to families and friends. The event will be broadcast on Facebook Live, and you will be able to interact by typing comments. You can expect to hear words of advice from political leaders, including Representative David Bowen; words of solace and encouragement from faith and community leaders; and music and poetry performed by Wisconsin musicians and poets. What: Unifying Wisconsin Because Lives Matter More When: Friday, April 24th, 3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Where: Facebook Live >>>Please click here to RSVP on Facebook now, and let us know if you have any questions. We want to send a message to all who are hurting: we see you, we hear you, we care about you, and we will stand with you. In Solidarity, Deja WAVE Community Outreach Coordinator | |
