Friend, in a moment I’m going to ask you if you can pitch in and support my re-election campaign, because we’re racing to close a fundraising gap and have a deadline coming up in just 24 hours.

But first, I want to tell you a little bit more about myself and what this campaign is about — because I know I’m probably not the only candidate out there who’s asking for your help, and it’s my responsibility to make the case to you why this campaign, right here in Kansas, is worthy of your time and investment.

When I flipped a Republican-held congressional seat, it’s fair to say I broke the mold in a few ways.

Not just because I became Kansas’s only federally elected Democratic representative. But also because I'm an LGBTQ+ Native American woman and former MMA fighter who was raised by a single Army mom and worked multiple jobs to pay my own way through school.

But I also want to be clear about this: that’s not why I think I deserve your support. I’m asking for your support today because of what I’ve done — and because of what I will work to do if I have the honor of continuing to represent my community in Congress.

My philosophy has always been that we need leaders who are grown-up enough to put partisanship aside and get things done.

That’s why I’m proud to have helped create over 20,000 clean-energy jobs right here in KS-03. It’s why I’m proud to have saved seniors money on insulin and passed a bipartisan infrastructure law that kick-started construction on over 300 vital projects across Kansas.

And it’s why I’m so determined to restore abortion rights, defend our democracy, and make our economy work better for Americans who are struggling today — because together, we’ve tackled tough problems and weathered tough times before. And I know that we can keep making real progress if we stay in the fight.

If you’re with me, I’d be so grateful for anything you can pitch in to help me win this race →
