James — during Netanyahu’s speech to Congress, he said protesters against the atrocities in Gaza “stand with evil.” It echoed GOP Speaker Johnson’s vile rhetoric. Johnson said Bernie and other lawmakers who skipped Netanyahu’s speech were “siding with evil.”
Bernie refused to back down in the face of this disgusting smear campaign. He skipped Netanyahu’s speech and has continued to advocate for an end to U.S support for the Israeli military’s onslaught on Gaza.
Our leaders must not only call for a Ceasefire, they must stand with Bernie to end ALL funding and weapons sales to the Israeli military.
Stand with Bernie: Not another nickel for Netanyahu’s war. End U.S. funding and weapons sales to Israel!
While hundreds of Members of Congress applauded for Netanyahu’s speech, Bernie reminded them that they’re supporting a regime that has killed tens of thousands of civilians and blocked humanitarian aid. Bernie reminded Congress that there are children starving in Gaza.
Bernie also said, “Netanyahu is not only a war criminal. He is a liar.” And Rep. Rashida Tlaib, an outspoken advocate for Peace, held up a sign during Netanyahu’s speech that said, “War Criminal.”
Netanyahu has shown time and time again that he would rather continue his ruthless attacks on Gaza than find a path towards peace. He is blocking Ceasefire deals. But a bipartisan majority in Congress is still funding the attacks on Gaza. Democrats and Republicans invited Netanyahu to give his speech.
Calls for a Ceasefire are critical, but so is an end to America’s continued support for the Israeli military — billions of dollars and thousands of bombs that have helped Netanyahu’s regime cause so many deaths and so much suffering in Gaza.
Add your name: End all U.S. support for Netanyahu’s war on Gaza.
