There are a lot of compelling reasons to support Sarah McBride’s campaign for Congress, but today we’re sharing three of the biggest ones:

1. Sarah lives and breathes Delaware. She loves her home state – when she went away to American University for college, she was already making plans to come back and build her life in her home state. As state senator, she has been a powerful champion for Delawareans and their families, most recently helping to pass a bill guaranteeing paid family and medical leave.
   
   
2. Delaware’s Democratic primary is just six weeks away. While Sarah is in a strong position right now, we can’t take anything for granted. Sarah is running against a former Republican with a history of challenging LGBTQ+ candidates. Since Sarah would be the first openly trans member of Congress, anti-LGBTQ+ activists will be working hard to defeat her.
   
   
3. Sarah is the strongest candidate to not only win this seat in November, but to get right to work making a difference for the people of Delaware. Sarah has a proven track record as an effective legislator and she’s ready to bring her solution-oriented attitude to Congress to actually get things done.
