Hi, my campaign finance team just shared an update with me that I wanted you to see:

Missing this goal wouldn’t be the end of the world, but it would have major consequences for our campaign with just over three months until Election Day.

Every goal we set has a reason behind it. When you run a campaign the way we are, you can only spend what you’re able to raise.

When the going gets tough, some folks, like my Republican opponent, just choose to cut themselves a check from their personal fortune. Or they comb through a rolodex of right-wing megadonors to ask for help.

I’m running this campaign differently — we rely on grassroots supporters (like you!) chipping in what they can, when they can because they believe in what we’re fighting for. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

But in a race as expensive as ours, every single fundraising goal matters if we want to keep our ads on the air and get our message out to voters across the state. That’s why I’m personally asking:

Before our July fundraising deadline expires, will you rush a donation to help us close the gap to our goal so we can defend Wisconsin’s Senate seat?
