Hey John. I’ve got some really bad news: KOSA just passed through the Senate.1
This stings. But there’s good news too. The New York Times reports that KOSA faces an uphill battle in the House, where concerns about censorship are front and center. We expected this Senate vote, but we’re well-prepared to make sure this bill gets crushed for good.
You can still help stop KOSA. Here are the three most important actions you can take.
1. 📞 Call your reps NOW. We have a call tool that connects you directly to your House Rep and provides a basic script. Calls matter: the uproar of unpopularity around SOPA/PIPA helped kill those bills in 2012.
2. 📮 Pressure your reps in their home districts. House members are out of DC for the next month, and we need to make KOSA opposition inescapable. Here’s a toolkit for how to deliver paper letters to your Reps’ IRL offices. This is really easy and it makes a giant impact on lawmakers when people show up.
3. 💸 Donate to help us sustain the fight. We’re a small, dedicated team of 15 staff members. Every dollar helps us continue our advocacy against this awful censorship bill.

Let’s get it done,
