Hey there, it’s Team Ruiz with an update from the campaign trail! 🚗💨

The main reason why Dr. Ruiz ran for Congress in the first place is the same reason he continues to run to represent CA-25: the people. Meeting face-to-face with voters on the campaign trail is a stark reminder of how Dr. Ruiz’s story began and how he got to where he is today.

When he was accepted to UCLA but didn’t have the money to afford the tuition and books, he put on the one suit he owned, borrowed a suitcase, and walked the streets of Coachella and the Coachella Valley in the 120-degree summer heat. He went business to business asking his neighbors if they’d be able to chip in a few dollars so he could become a doctor and come back home to serve our community.

And that’s exactly what he did. Now, he’s serving our community every day on the House floor, and he couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.
