John, 59 years ago, President Johnson officially signed Medicare and Medicaid into law. Now, over 65 million people are enrolled in Medicare. As a pediatrician in Adams County, with 65% of my patients' families on Medicare, I saw firsthand the impact of this legislation on hard-working Coloradans. Yet, securing healthcare remains a struggle for too many Americans. Witnessing families face rising healthcare and prescription drug costs, I knew change was necessary – and I was ready to step up and work for my community.
In Congress, I am pushing to allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices on more prescription drugs and working with both parties to increase transparency in hospital prices. Hard-working families deserve affordable healthcare, and I’m committed to making that a reality. Thanks for your support, |
