John — The
2024 Olympic games kicked off last week in Paris. And while I’m certainly
not an Olympic-level athlete, I’ve enjoyed playing and watching sports my
whole life.

Before I take you on a trip down memory lane, I have to mention this:

Senate — and with less than 100 days until we cross the finish line, I’m

baseball to my GOP opponent, and he can leave the legislating to me.

Before moving to California, my family lived in Massachusetts, where my
brother and I enjoyed sledding in the backyard.

When we moved to California, I got really into soccer and played on a
country all-star team.

I’ve always enjoyed running, done a few triathlons, lots of 5ks, and a
marathon.

although I might not be as active as I
used to be, I still enjoy running and going for bike rides with my wife,
Eve. (We met on a tennis court.)

And I’m running for Senate to make sure our children and grandchildren
have access to good schools with extracurricular activities. So they have
clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. So they can pursue their
dreams — whether that’s an Olympic athlete or a member of the U.S. Senate.
