It has been a great week for the
Jill Stein for President campaign. Volunteers and petitioners in
several states have stepped up and collected tens of thousands of
signatures to ensure millions of voters have an alternative to the
parties of war and Wall Street this November.
Yesterday, volunteers in New Jersey
turned in over double the required signatures to get Jill on the
ballot there. And in Missouri, they gathered almost 20,000 signatures.
This was an amazing all-volunteer effort spanning over ten
months.
We wish we could count on
volunteers in every state, but the fact is we will need to rely on
paid petitioners in most of the remaining states if we want to offer
Jill as a choice on the ballot for those voters.
Getting on the ballot continues to
be our biggest challenge and biggest expense, but there is light at
the end of the tunnel.
August is the final month for
collecting signatures in most of the remaining states. After that, we
will transition to a focus on voter outreach. In the meantime, we need
to raise money to get on the ballot in 15
states.
In July, we are just $20,000 short
of our fundraising goal. But the good news is that if everyone who
gets this email contributes just $2.40 or more, we will reach that
goal and have a good head start on raising the money to achieve our
August fundraising target.
