Stop Illegals from Voting in November: Call on Senators to Pass the SAVE Act Now!
We helped pass the SAVE Act in the House with over 5.8 million calls for Voter ID with Proof of Citizenship Requirement! [ [link removed] ]
You will notice that we often include the Attorneys General to provoke them to weigh in. When Attorneys General form a coalition urging Congress to pass legislation, they do so from a legal position, signaling to lawmakers that substantial legal and political pressure exists to address these issues.
Last week, we achieved yet another victory with 24 State Attorneys General calling on the Senate to pass the SAVE Act. This show of support underscores the importance of this legislation and the broad-based demand for its enactment.
Our unique strategy of targeting the State Attorneys’ General has also resulted in coalitions demanding action on our open borders and rejecting the WHO Health Treaty, two major issues for Americans.
This week, the Senate reportedly is considering this critical bill. Now is the time to intensify our efforts and ensure our voices are heard loud and clear.
24 Republican AGs call on Senate to pass SAVE Act [ [link removed] ]
A coalition of Republican attorneys general has urged the U.S. Senate to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which is rumored to be moving to the Senate floor this week. Led by Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird, the coalition includes AGs from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
The coalition's letter highlights the increasing concern over illegal foreign nationals voting in local elections due to policies implemented by the Biden administration. While these policies are problematic, the coalition emphasizes that some states, such as Arizona, have implemented even more concerning measures.
In Arizona, the Secretary of State has designated voters who register without proof of citizenship as "federal-only" voters, allowing them to vote in federal elections but not in state or local ones. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, sending his own letter, [ [link removed] ]  criticized this bifurcated voting system, noting that in the 2020 election, “11,600 voters voted in the previous presidential election without ever providing proof that they were citizens – in a state that President Biden won by 10,457 votes out of over 3.3 million votes cast. Paxton argued that this discrepancy is particularly troubling in light of the ongoing illegal immigration crisis and the narrow margin by which President Biden won Arizona.
Paxton stated, “Although federal law prohibits those who are not U.S. citizens from voting in federal elections, it also paradoxically prohibits States from requiring voters to have proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. Under any circumstances, this federal prohibition against citizenship verification makes little sense, but it is especially troubling given the current scale of the illegal immigration crisis. Congress needs to correct this statutory defect by allowing states to ensure that votes are being cast legally by eligible voters.”
Representative Chip Roy supports the bill, arguing it would counter Democrat efforts to secure one-party rule by upholding current laws that permit only U.S. citizens to vote in federal elections. Roy contends that Democrats oppose the bill because they want noncitizens, including illegal immigrants, to vote.
