Biden Announces Radical Supreme Court Reform

Townhall: President Biden will make the case on Monday for radically transforming the Supreme Court… First, Biden calls for a constitutional amendment that could limit presidential immunity… Then he calls on Congress to approve term limits for the justices… And finally, Biden wants a code of ethics for the nine justices (Townhall). National Review: Left-wing dark-money groups have campaigned extensively against the Supreme Court’s conservative justices as part of a broader campaign to undermine the court and lay the foundation for court packing (National Review). RNC Research: The ghost of Crooked Joe Biden attacks the Supreme Court because he doesn’t like some of their decisions. Kamala will pack the Supreme Court with far-left activist judges if she gets the chance (X).

VP Harris Supports Biden’s Extreme Supreme Court Reform Policies
Hill: Vice President Harris on Monday backed President Biden’s push for term limits for Supreme Court justices and a constitutional amendment to counteract their recent presidential immunity decision (Hill). Guy Benson: The “democracy” and “norms” party has now fully embraced fundamentally uprooting and remaking our Supreme Court — entirely because they aren’t getting their preferred outcomes in some major cases. That’s the only reason (X). Reporter Josh Wingrove: Term limits and ethics rules “will help restore confidence in the court,” Harris says (X).

Trump Agrees to Interview with FBI
Hill: Former President Trump has agreed to sit with the FBI for an interview following the July 13 shooting at one of his campaign rallies, the agency said Monday. During a Monday briefing, the bureau said Trump would sit for a “standard victim interview” about the shooting, something it called consistent with practices for any crime they investigate. Kevin Rojek, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh Field Office, said they wanted to get Trump’s perspective on anything he observed, “just like any other witness to the crime” (Hill).

Israel Promises to Respond Harshly to Hezbollah for Attack on Children in Golan Heights
New York Post: Israeli officials vowed a “harsh” response against Hezbollah after the Iran-backed terror group allegedly launched a rocket that killed 12 youths — as the US believes a retaliatory attack will not lead to an all-out war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his nation is preparing an appropriate response to Hezbollah during a speech on Monday in front of mourners at the occupied Golan Heights, the site of the deadly missile attack over the weekend (New York Post). Washington Examiner: The United States and several Western countries have repeatedly and desperately sought to quell the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah to prevent an escalation and an all-out war, which experts believe would be highly destructive and deadly for both sides given the arsenals of both militaries. U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters on Monday that the concerns of an all-out war are “exaggerated,” and added, “There’s no reason for that outcome to occur” (Washington Examiner).

Google on Dubious Autocompletes Relating to Trump, Assassination Attempt: "There was no manual action taken”
Just the News: Google’s search engine conspicuously left out Donald Trump in autocomplete suggestions for “assassination,” “assassination attempt” and even “president donald” Sunday, drawing criticism from social media users including X owner Elon Musk that it was censoring recent history… Google quickly responded to a Just the News query on the assassination-specific search suggestions, which were highlighted in multiple posts by Libs of TikTok Sunday and verified by House and Senate lawmakers, at least one state attorney general and Just the News. Even an explicit search for “assassination attempt trump” and “president donald trump” returned no suggestions over a 13-hour period from Sunday to Monday morning. “There was no manual action taken on these predictions,” according to a Google statement credited to an unnamed spokesperson (Just the News). End Wokeness: Google really wants us to forget what we all saw with our own eyes 2 weeks ago (X).

Politics Drives Wedge Between Young Men and Women
Wall Street Journal: The forces of American culture and politics are pushing men and women under age 30 into opposing camps, creating a new fault line in the electorate and adding an unexpected wild card into the 2024 presidential election. Voters under 30 have been a pillar of the Democratic coalition since Ronald Reagan left office in 1989. That pillar is showing cracks, with young men defecting from the party. Young men now favor Republican control of Congress and Trump for president after backing President Biden and Democratic lawmakers in 2020. Women under 30 remain strongly behind Democrats for Congress and the White House. They are also far more likely to call themselves liberal than two decades ago. The gender gap extends to opposing views of abortion, student-loan forgiveness and other issues affecting the lives of young adults (Wall Street Journal).

86 Percent of Americans Cannot Afford to Purchase a Home
CNN: The dream of home ownership feels out of reach for many American families. The vast majority (86%) of current renters in the United States say they would like to buy a home – but can’t afford one, according to a CNN poll. Among those same renters who can’t afford to buy a home right now, 54% think it’s unlikely they’ll ever be able to (CNN). RNC Research: HARRIS AND BIDEN HAVE DESTROYED THE AMERICAN DREAM (X).

Venezuelans Protest Claiming Dictator Nicolás Maduro Rigged the Election
Associated Press: Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Venezuela on Monday to protest what they said was an attempt by President Nicolás Maduro to steal the country’s disputed election a day after the political opposition and the entrenched incumbent both claimed victory. Shortly after the National Electoral Council, which is loyal to Maduro’s ruling party, announced that he had won a third six-year term, angry protesters began marching through the capital, Caracas, and cities across Venezuela. In the capital, the protests were mostly peaceful, but when dozens of riot gear-clad national police officers blocked the caravan, a brawl broke. Police used tear gas to disperse the protesters, some of whom threw stones and other objects at officers who had stationed themselves on a main avenue of an upper-class district (Associated Press). NBC: Reports of widespread voter intimidation, irregularities at voting centers and election fraud allegations also prevailed on the day of the election. Citing independent exit polls, opposition leader María Corina Machado claimed González won 70% of the votes (NBC). Charlie Kirk: Protesters are tearing down statues of Hugo Chávez as  supporters of opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez claiming he won a “landslide victory” over communist dictator, Nicolás Maduro, who they say rigged the election. Elon Musk, Nayib Bukele, and Marco Rubio have called the results fraudulent and even Tony Blinken has said he has “serious concerns.” Maduro has activated the military to arrest protesters, but so far, it appears they’d have to arrest hundreds of thousands of people, a physical impossibility (X).

Olympic Apology for Their Last Supper Stunt is Not an Apology At All
Ed Morrissey: What’s the only thing worse than no apology at all? A so-called apology that blames people for taking offense. Offering up a lie to gaslight the offended makes it even worse. American political figures often offer these “I’m sorry you were offended by my brilliance” non-apologies and end up making matters worse, although these days they don’t tend to give a hoot one way or the other… the organizers of the Paris Olympics tried a non-apology apology yesterday for their drag version of the Last Supper during their opening ceremonies. They used the usual “sorry if you were offended” and claimed that the similarity to Da Vinci’s masterpiece was completely unintentional. In fact, they claimed that the intention was to be “inclusive,” and the entire tableau was meant to be patterned on some Feast of the Gods concept and not any religious theme (HotAir). Reporter Bree Dail: Catholic Bishop Barron to Olympics: “This is anything but an apology, in fact it is a masterpiece of “woke” duplicity” (X). Activist Sarah Fields: Barbara Butch, the woman in the center, posted this photo to her Instagram, admitting that this photo had everything to do with them mocking the scriptures. She then deleted it a few hours later and called it “the feast of the Gods.” Nope.  Caught (X).

Olympic Athlete Signs “Jesus is the way, the truth and the life” After Being Told She Could Not Praise Jesus
Western Journal: Already a superstar in her home country, 16-year-old Rayssa Leal of Brazil suddenly has more than two billion new fans. During Sunday’s street skateboarding final in Paris, France, the teenage phenom defied official guidelines and helped alter the tone of the blasphemous Olympic Games by delivering a courageous message in sign language on her way to winning the bronze medal. “Jesus is the way, the truth and the life,” Leal signed. Better yet, she did not conceal her intention. The teenager waited for the camera to approach and then made sure that viewers across the world could see her message (Western Journal). Graham Allen: JESUS IS THE TRUTH. Rayssa Leal was told she wasn’t allowed to praise Jesus Christ at the Olympics. Leal responded by saying, ‘Jesus is the way, the truth and the life’ in sign language to protest (X). In another instance of the Olympic Games being Anti-Christianity… Oli London: Paris Olympics banned Brazilian surfer from using surf board featuring an image of JESUS. Surfer João Chianca was banned from using the surfboard featuring the image of Rio De Janieros famed Christ the Redeemer statue (X).
