through a pre-primary D.C. FOIA request (May 14, 2024) to the D.C.
Board of Elections for records regarding the number of noncitizens
registered to vote in Washington, D.C. under the Local Resident Voting
Rights Amendment Act. The data showed that at the time 583 foreign
nationals were registered to vote in the June primary election. The
records from the earlier FOIA request also confirmed that noncitizens
can be election workers in the District of Columbia.
