Dear John,

We’re excited to invite you to watch our first ever charity livestream! Pro footballers Alphonso Davies (FC Bayern Munich) and Asmir Begović (AC Milan) will be competing in an online football tournament to help protect refugee communities from COVID-19.

Watch directly on our website, or tune in on Twitch or Mixer this Saturday 25 April at 15:00 UTC to watch these two pros go head to head, playing eFootball PES2020 in a best of three tournament.

Davies and Begović are both at the top of their game, but that is not all that they have in common—they are both refugees. Davies was born in a refugee camp in Ghana to Liberian parents and was resettled with his family to Canada when he was five years old. Begović and his family were forced to flee their home in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s – they first arrived in Germany before moving to Canada.

Growing up they quickly excelled at their chosen sport and both are now international stars in their field. But they haven’t forgotten their roots -- Davies and Begović are motivated by their past to support refugees during the coronavirus crisis and beyond.

Join them and our host, football journalist Sam Tighe (The Bleacher Report) in this special livestream event to support refugee communities facing the threat of coronavirus. Watch directly on our website, or tune in on Twitch or Mixer on Saturday 25 April at 15:00 UTC!

See you on the field,

Aamir Sohail
