Since I last reached out, I received some truly excellent news: generous donors have challenged us to raise $185,000 toward our $200,000 goal of flipping (at least) two PA House seats to gun safety champions , and promised to chip in the remaining $15,000 if we hit that goal . The only catch is we have to put up these numbers by Wednesday, July 31.

When I reached out last week, I told you we had raised $150,000 toward that goal, and boy do I have a great update for you! We have now raised $176,787, meaning we are just over $8,000 short of unlocking the $15,000 in donations to carry us over the finish line. Will you donate just $ 5 by Wednesday to help us accept this challenge and close our fundraising gap?

I’m not just throwing numbers at you for fun. From past experience, we know it takes $100,000 per district to elect gun safety champions who will help us stop the proliferation of homemade machine guns[1] and protect our children from unsecured deadly weapons.[2]

We are so close to having the resources to help elect two champions who will expand our House majority, prove that gun safety is a winning strategy, and pave the way for future champions to hold office. But to get there, we need to call on the grassroots donors, like you, who fuel our gun safety movement. So I’m asking you personally: will you contribute $ 5 right now to help us unlock an additional $15,000 and fight the gun lobby dollar for dollar?
