Dear John,
Many things in our world have come to a stop. Alzheimer's disease, unfortunately, is not one of them. People facing Alzheimer's still need our help, every hour of every day. And the only reason we're still here to help is because of generous friends like you. Thank you.
Recently, we talked with Beth Kallmyer, Alzheimer's Association vice president of Care and Support, to tackle some of the topics affecting caregivers and those living with the disease the most during this time, such as:
- "I'm caring for someone with Alzheimer's at home. How can I limit visitors to protect her health and mine, while still giving her the care she needs?"
- "My husband is living with dementia and gets upset easily. The daily news about COVID-19 is scaring him. What can I do to help him stay calm?"
- "What suggestions do you have for creating a nurturing environment for people living with dementia during this time of heightened anxiety?"
