Friend,

We hope you’re soaking up these last few weeks of summer! Before we know it, it’ll be the back-to-school season, and we’ll be gearing up for another long school year. But before that happens, we need to talk about something.

Many think school safety stops when the classrooms are closed for the summer — but that isn’t the case. Summer is one of the best times for schools to better prepare for school safety, and here are just a few examples:

*
Implementing
security
systems
and
safety
measures
can
be
easier
when
the
hallways
aren’t
as
packed
*
Summer
means
schools
have
ample
time
to
train
staff
on
new
security
protocols
and
technologies
*
Budget
time!
Administrators
can
amend
budgets
to
account
for
critical
safety
updates
that’ll
make
your
schools
that
much
safer

Friend, it might seem like our duty to protect school safety grinds to a halt during the summer months, but it’s the opposite. Before we get ready to return to school, can you chip in to help us get the word out to schools that they can get safer this summer? [[link removed]]
