A lot has happened this month.  

Lizzie and our team have been busy responding to Hurricane Beryl and getting recovery underway in our community.  At the same time, as you know, we saw many developments in the presidential race.  During the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump picked JD Vance as his vice presidential running mate just as we learned more about the extreme provisions in the GOP’s Project 2025 plan and Vance’s extreme positions on issues of all kinds.

Fortunately, there were uplifting developments, too:  We helped Vice President Kamala Harris launch her presidential campaign and it’s off to an incredible start thanks to so many of you who responded to Lizzie’s request for contributions to her campaign last week.

Through all of this, I have to admit—we haven’t had as much time to fundraise for our own campaign.  If you’re able to contribute before the end-of-month deadline on Wednesday it would make a huge difference.

These past few weeks have reminded us how important it is that we elect leaders at every level who will lead responsibly, work collaboratively, and fight for us and our communities—leaders like Lizzie.  As Campaign Treasurer, I know raising money and reaching our fundraising goals are essential to ensuring Lizzie can return to the House. 

With so much at stake this election, it’s important that we make up for the time we lost this month and raise as much money as possible so we can reach every possible voter between now and Election Day.  Please contribute whatever you can before our end-of-month deadline this Wednesday, July 31.
