The NRCC Young Gun program exists to highlight the top candidates in the most competitive races across the country. To become a Young Gun means that they see a path to victory in our race.
In 2022, the Democrats threw the kitchen sink at me. They compared me to a monkey and said voters would only support me because I’m Black. They played dirty and I had to concede my race to the incumbent Democrat - socialist Squad member Jahana Hayes.
They barely defeated us by just 0.6% in 2022. Now, it’s a complete TOSS-UP.
We have put in the work to make this race not just competitive, but WINNABLE. That’s why being named an NRCC Young Gun is such incredible news. And with more grassroots support, I know we can flip this district into Republican hands this November.
