Thanks to the overwhelming grassroots support we’ve received so far, we have jumped in the polls, been able to travel the state to meet with voters, and have kept critical campaign operations funded.
This is the impact your donations have. They truly make a difference in a race as competitive–and as consequential–as this one.
But this fight is far from over. I’m up against an opponent backed by the Democrat machine and I’m already getting hit left and right with bogus attacks.
We cannot afford to let up even for a minute. Just like in the primary race, I will remain the financial underdog in the general election all the way up to Election Day.
We CAN end the divisiveness and dysfunction in Washington and we CAN come together to solve the toughest issues facing our nation.
But it’s only possible to do these things if we stand together right now.
I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: When I decided to launch this campaign for the U.S. Senate, I wasn't looking for a new title and I didn't need a job. I decided to take on this challenge because I have never been more concerned about the direction of our nation.
America is at a dangerous, critical crossroads.
Most Americans are thoroughly convinced that we are hopelessly divided, that Washington is completely dysfunctional, and that our entire political system is fundamentally broken.
The voices of the exhausted majority are often ignored in deference to the demands of the loudest and angriest few who seem hell-bent on tearing America apart.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
I’m in this race to fix the mess in Washington and help solve the biggest issues facing Marylanders and Americans – not to perpetuate the partisanship and inaction that is holding us all back from real progress.
With August only days away, NOW is the time to push as hard as we can to send a powerful message that it’s time to fix the mess in Washington!
Will you join this fight for Maryland and America’s future?
When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.
For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!
