John,

At AFJ, we build power for the progressive movement through trainings and resources on the rules of advocacy, and harness our collective power to transform our courts. From the U.S. Supreme Court to state supreme courts and ballot initiatives all over the country, 2024 is a critical year. With that in mind, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join our Alliance for Justice as a member organization [[link removed]] . 45 years ago, Nan Aron brought together twenty organizations committed to advocating for our core constitutional rights and justice. Today, we stand at over 130 members strong. And we’re committed to continuing to grow and build a more robust coalition to combat the threats to our rights we’re experiencing.

Whether you’ve worked with our Bolder Advocacy team to better understand how you can lobby, used one of our free online resources, participated in our work for a more diverse federal judiciary, or simply followed our work online – Thank You. Organizations like yours make our country fairer and more just for all of us.

While you may be familiar with our Bolder Advocacy and Justice programs, did you know AFJ places member organizations at the core of all that we do?

First, our membership program is designed to support and enhance your work. We provide members with tailored and direct access to the tools, research, and resources to enhance your advocacy and fight for your core issues and ours. Our members receive access to trainings and resources, produced by AFJ and from outside experts, so you can continue to build your skills and increase your impact. We bring our members together with likeminded organizations engaged on similar policy issues to ensure you are updated on the latest developments in the courts and can find opportunities for collaboration when your interests and plans align. And we strive to be a force multiplier for your initiatives through forums like our Member Spotlights [[link removed]] .

Second , our Bolder Advocacy program is designed to meet your organization at any point along its advocacy journey, from the simplest (c)(3) tax question to the most complex— and always without charge for technical assistance and resources . BA supports thousands of nonprofits and foundations with technical assistance and training, and is consistently releasing new tools and resources to strengthen nonprofit advocacy. As an AFJ member, you would be able to attend all BA’s public webinars free of charge and receive a significant discount on personalized workshops catered to your organization’s needs.

Finally, because of our Justice team’s coordination across AFJ members and partners, the Biden administration and the Senate have made incredible progress to confirm over 200 demographically and professionally diverse “phenomenees” as federal judges. These lifetime appointees will be the last line of defense against a conservative agenda that has abandoned America’s core principles of democracy and equality. Under our new strategic plan, we’re even more focused on elevating the outstanding attorneys that come from our members’ movements.

Don’t just take it from us! Hear what existing AFJ members have to say about our work:
“AFJ has a super helpful team and the best resources around. They basically wrote the rules I abide by in running a c3/c4 operation and supporting other local organizations to do the same.” – Alliance for Youth Organizing

“Alliance for Justice has been an incredible resource for our courts work by providing the research on federal judicial nominees as well as accompanying messaging guidance. Additionally, we look to AFJ to help us navigate the complexities and nuances of 501(c)(3) permissible activities. The organization is a tremendous source of support to our staff and field, and a valued partner.” – National Council of Jewish Women
