John – It’s summer break for teachers, school staff, and students across the country right now.
Since we’re not in the classroom, we don’t have to have that anxiety or fear of a school shooting. We don’t have to worry about where we’d hide our students if someone came into our school with a gun.
But that doesn’t mean we still don’t have work to do. We’re organizing and fighting to end gun violence in our schools and communities - 24/7/365.
And right now, we’re taking full advantage of summer break by using this time to grow our movement.
We’re attending conferences, digitally organizing, and expanding our network of teachers across the country, who are ready to become advocates for progress.
But summer breaks don’t last forever, and that means there will be far less time for our life-saving work.
That’s why I’m setting a $5,000 Summer Break fundraising goal so we can head back to classes with huge momentum behind us – but we need your help to reach this goal before our End of Month deadline in 2 days.
