Important Reminders!
- Approved volunteers will need to contact the duty warden or chaplain at the facility to be placed on the approved gate list prior to going to the unit. See the Unit Directory for a list of units and contact information.
- If you are at a facility and are unable to gain access, you will need to contact the duty warden or the unit chaplain.
- For security reasons, taking photographs or video recordings is prohibited without prior approval from unit administration.
- A volunteer shall immediately report the following to the duty warden or chaplain.
- an injury or any information revealed by an inmate that might result in harm to any individual, that is criminal in nature or could impact public or facility safety.
- the possession or trading of contraband between inmates, inmate and staff, and inmates and other volunteers.
- A volunteer is required to report complaints or concerns directly to staff, preferable at the facility.
- To check the status of a volunteer application, or for any other questions, please contact the Volunteer Services Department during normal working hours, Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM
If the issue cannot be resolved at the facility level, contact the Volunteer Services Department or the appropriate divisional authority such as the Parole Division for parole volunteer program concerns.
