As one of the first Muslim American women elected to Congress, her historic victory in 2018 brought a crucial voice for justice, both at home and abroad, into the heart of American democracy. We shared with you last week that corporate-backed candidates are challenging AOC. And we’ve seen pushback from the establishment when representatives are doing the people’s work. Now, Rashida’s likely to face a primary challenger for her re-election this year.

Most recently, she introduced legislation to provide monthly payments to all Americans and protect people from water shutoffs throughout the COVID19 crisis.

We don’t usually endorse incumbents, but supporting Rashida’s re-election was a no-brainer.

Rashida has always stood boldly for working families, fighting corruption through actionable legislation. She’s proven that representatives can stand for what’s right, even if that means going against the party line.
