Dear friend,

Two years ago, Pakistan endured one of its most devastating and deadly monsoons in recent history. The heavy rainfalls claimed the lives of over 1,700 people, affected 33 million more, and left one-third of the country under water.

The disaster forced many families to live in makeshift shelters, with a risk of waterborne diseases and infection. Flooding heavily damaged agriculture production, destroying local livelihoods and access to food. Pakistani families were set for a long and challenging road to recovery.

Thanks to supporters like you, our teams were prepared to spring into action to help save lives — and stick around to support the years-long rebuilding effort. Will you make a gift of $12 or more to our Humanitarian Response Fund today so that we can make this kind of impact in 40+ countries facing humanitarian crises?

Flooding in Pakistan destroyed more than 2 million homes and displaced nearly 8 million people.
In the past two years, Mercy Corps team members have been providing relief to help families overcome hardship and rebuild their lives.
In response to the threat of waterborne diseases, such as malaria, dysentery, and skin and eye disease, Mercy Corps teams and partners set up health camps to provide immediate healthcare to families, pregnant women, and young children.

As families struggled with hunger and the loss of their livelihood, Mercy Corps delivered cash aid, essential supplies, access to clean water, livestock kits, and temporary shelters.

Since the flood, Mercy Corps has delivered emergency aid to more than 416,000 people in the most flood-affected areas of Pakistan.
Your gift to our Humanitarian Response Fund powers this kind of impact in 40+ countries across the globe. As we continue to support families in Pakistan on their road to recovery and respond to new crises around the world, will you make a one-time gift to help us reach our $80,000 fundraising goal?

As you know already, we’re feeling the impact of climate change everywhere. Extreme weather such as floods, droughts, and heatwaves. Rising sea levels are inundating coastal communities. And access to nutritious food and clean water is severely limited.

Our Humanitarian Response Fund allows us to be fully equipped to provide immediate responses to climate emergencies, war, and acute hunger around the world.

As the scale of need continues to grow, will you make a gift right now to help us meet our $80,000 fundraising goal for our Humanitarian Response Fund?

Thank you for helping families facing conflict and climate change crises around the world,

— The Mercy Corps team
