Dear Georgian,

Last week, several violent pro-Hamas protestors came to D.C. to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's joint address to Congress. They gathered at Union Station, which is very close to the U.S. Capitol Building, and burned American flags that they stole from the flag poles outside the train station.

This is absolutely unacceptable, and I strongly condemn their actions. They’re not just anti-Israel; they are anti-American.

I will always stand for the flag and condemn antisemitic and anti-American terrorist sympathizers. I am thankful that our law enforcement officers secured the area and were able to arrest many of the protesters who committed these heinous crimes.

As always, my staff and I are here to help. If you need assistance with a federal agency or have comments or concerns to share with me, please do not hesitate to call my Warner Robins, Tifton, or Washington, D.C. offices. Standing Strong Behind Israel

It was an honor to attend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s joint address to Congress last week.

October 7, 2023, was the deadliest day for Jewish people since the Holocaust, with Hamas killing over 1,200 innocent Israeli civilians. Israel is our close friend and ally, and America stands strong behind Israel as they defend themselves from Hamas terrorists.

I supported H.R. 8034, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, which provided critical bipartisan aid for Israel, and passed the House on April 20, 2024.

I continue to stand with Israel and will support our ally should any further legislation come to the House floor or House Armed Services Committee for a vote.

Investigating the Assassination Attempt of President Donald Trump

We cannot let what happened to President Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania happen again. This security failure is of high concern to Congress, and the House passed a unanimous resolution to establish a Task Force to examine the attempted assassination of President Trump. This will be a bipartisan effort with seven Republicans and six Democrats on the Task Force.

The purpose of this Task Force is to understand what went wrong on the day of the attempted assassination, to ensure accountability, and to prevent such an agency failure from ever happening again.

The Task Force will make recommendations for reform to the relevant government agencies and recommend any necessary legislation to implement the reforms.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned last week after her testimony to the House Oversight Committee about the security failures at the Pennsylvania rally. I fully support the Task Force's investigation to get to the bottom of what happened that day.

I also cosponsored a resolution to honor the life of Corey Comperatore, who tragically lost his life at the Trump rally. He was a volunteer firefighter and a veteran who was shielding his wife and daughter from the shooter.

The family of Corey Comperatore is in my prayers as they grieve their sudden loss.

Highlighting Financial Conditions in Farm Country

There is a huge disconnect between what is happening in our ag economy and what USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack thinks is happening on the American farm.

I spoke with farmers and lenders during a House Agriculture Committee hearing last week about the financial reality in farm country.
