And that's not to say that grassroots donations like yours don't matter because they do – so much more than I can ever articulate. In fact, it's thanks to grassroots donors like you that I'm even able to hold the most powerful and corrupt forces in the nation accountable – because I know that, no matter how many millions of dollars they spend slandering me, I have an unwavering base of supporters behind me. 

I hate asking for money because I don't want to be distracted from my work – but with fights as large and vital as ours, I just can't afford to fall short of my fundraising goals. So I have to ask: Please, will you chip in right now to power my fight for progress in New York and beyond? I need to raise $10,000 before my end-of-month fundraising deadline passes and I need your help to do that.

Friend, thanks to grassroots donors like you, I've been able to go toe-to-toe with some of the largest forces in our nation without fear of how their massive war chests would affect me. I've been able to take the gun lobby to court, hold Big Pharma accountable for their role in the opioid epidemic, call out far-right state legislatures for harming LGBTQ+ people, go after Big Polluters, and more.

My work is only possible because of grassroots donations from people like you, friend. But with the rights of millions under attack, we must continue this important work.
