Today is the last day to use our online form to sign our ballot access petition. Click here to complete the form we will use to send you a petition sheet to sign and return to us in the mail. You will need to sign the form and mail it back to us, so today is the last day we can mail it to you in time for you to return it.

We will be taking petitions to Annapolis to turn in to state officials on Monday, August 5. All petitions must be received by then!

If you already have petition sheets, you can continue to get signatures as long as we can get those sheets by this weekend. We will be collecting signatures until Sunday. E-mail [email protected] if you have petition sheets that need to be turned in.

If you are in Baltimore or can get to Baltimore, our last petitioning event will be this weekend. The Artscape event will be running all weekend and hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend.

We have professional signature gatherers working, but your last-minute donations will ensure they can work until the last possible minute. We will be collecting until the day they are due! Our amazing professionals have been working throughout the blazing July heat, and we want to support them as they finish up this task.

One final reminder...

In order to put the Green Party's presumptive nominee Jill Stein on the ballot, we have to make a last-minute adjustment to our party rules. Because the Green Party's Presidential Nominating Convention was moved to after the state's deadline for submitting nominations, we need to make a slight change to this year's procedures to allow us to submit paperwork earlier than was anticipated. (The same thing is happening with the Democratic Party in many states.)

So, on July 23 we held a Special Assembly to approve an urgent change to our party rules. You can read the proposed rule change here, and request a ballot to vote on making this change. Our party rules require this to be approved by our members, and we believe in relying on democratic change rather than taking shortcuts. This vote will be open until July 30, so if you wish to vote on this rule change, please request your ballot today!
