This week, there was lots of breaking news again, dominated by the coronation of Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for president, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit, and more fallout from the security failures surrounding the failed assassination attempt against President Trump. And today, we are just 100 days until Election Day!

Democrats falsely claim Republicans undermine democracy, yet it is their party who tried to throw their opponent, Donald Trump, in jail and get him removed from the ballot in many states… and now they’ve crowned Kamala Harris as their nominee without her receiving a single vote from the electorate. Democracy is a government of the people, where the majority rules. However, the Democrat machine has anointed Kamala as their nominee without any majority rule… solely because Joe Biden was down in the polls. Despite his awful debate performance, if he was up in the polls, Democrats would still be covering up for his mental decline and failed policies. I joined “Varney & Co.” on Fox Business to discuss. Additionally, Kamala Harris is bragging that she knows criminals well...and she does. She has raised money to bail violent offenders out of jail. When you defund and demoralize law enforcement, bail out criminals, and help elect prosecutors who don’t prosecute, you get high levels of crime on our streets.

The absence of any high-ranking Biden officials, including Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Washington on Monday is the exclamation point on the Biden administration's weak Foreign Policy. Prime Minister Netanyahu was instead greeted by lower-ranking State Department staff, a gesture far below the usual standards for a visiting head of state. Showing such a lack of respect for the Israeli leader only invites and encourages the pro-Hamas/anti-Israel protesters that are currently swarming our capital and college campuses.

The Republican plan is to return peace through strength, rebuild our alliances, and defeat terrorism through strong leadership. How can we promote American Values when we don’t even show up? Kamala Harris’ purposeful absence from this week’s joint session with PM Benjamin Netanyahu tells our allies around the globe that we are not dependable and our adversaries that we are not united. I stand with our Republican Party in the total commitment to protecting America and Israel, rebuilding our international alliances, and ensuring a safe and prosperous future for all.

The United States remains committed to our greatest ally in the Middle East, Israel. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Netanyahu passionately underscored the importance of the relationship between our two nations. Together, united in a common cause for peace and prosperity, there is no enemy we cannot defeat. As the Prime Minister said, “Our enemies are your enemies, our fight is your fight, our victory will be your victory.” As Israel continues to face threats from its neighbors, terror groups, and rogue states, the world must know the United States is fully committed to Israel’s defense. During Netanyahu’s joint address, anti-Israel protestors were seen flying Hamas flags and burning American flags on the streets of DC. Prime Minister Netanyahu aptly referred to these protestors as Iran’s “useful idiots” – it’s baffling how some of these protestors can support terrorists over those who seek peace. I had the pleasure of welcoming Ambassador Ofir Akunis, Consul General of Israel in New York, to my office. We had an insightful discussion on the current war being waged against the terrorist group Hamas. The attack on October 7 represents one of the largest massacres of the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The Israeli Defense Force must be allowed to eliminate Hamas fully. Additionally, we addressed the urgent hostage situation and agreed that the Israeli government must utilize all available tools to secure their release. (Pictured below)

This week, I took to the House Floor to honor the life, legacy, and ultimate sacrifice of Corey Comperatore, who was tragically killed while shielding his wife and daughter from gunfire at the rally in Butler County earlier this month. His courageous act saved his loved ones’ lives and will forever stand as a testament to his character and selflessness. His passion for family, life, and service to others will never be forgotten. After this week’s House Oversight Committee hearing, it was clear that Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle needed to resign. Her testimony was a disgrace. She was unprepared, evasive, and couldn’t answer even the most basic questions. She never even bothered to visit the Butler site to understand the environment and situation to better identify her agency’s failures. While Cheatle’s resignation was a step toward accountability, we need a full review of the security failures to ensure we can prevent a future tragedy. I spoke on the House Floor in support of Representative Mike Kelly's resolution, H.Res.1367, which establishes a task force to investigate the tragic assassination attempt on President Trump. On the floor, I represent the American people, especially Pennsylvanians, and seek answers about this horrific event. IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: "BORDER CZAR" Kamala Harris helped to create a border crisis!

One individual is more responsible than virtually any other for the worst border crisis in U.S. history: Kamala "Border Czar" Harris.

Kamala has owned the Harris-Biden border crisis from the start, admitting their policy was to "undo" President Trump's successful border security. In their first 100 days, they took 94 executive actions to rescind almost every Trump-era measure.

In April 2021 — the first full month since Kamala officially assumed her role — illegal crossings shot up 128% (178,795) compared to the month she took office (78,414). It only got worse from there, with monthly illegal crossings nearly doubling during her tenure — remaining above 150,000/month almost every single month.

For context, illegal border crossings averaged around 50,000/month under President Trump.

The number of illegals RELEASED into the country also skyrocketed under Kamala — going from two-digit monthly releases during the Trump administration to five- and six-digit monthly releases under Harris-Biden.

Of course, Kamala has a long record of prioritizing illegals over U.S. citizens:

The "border czar" — who has visited the southern border only ONCE (to a "politically safe" area) — owns the consequences of the millions of illegal aliens who have invaded U.S. communities and unleashed an unprecedented era of needless and preventable migrant crime on American citizens.

But not only does Kamala have no remorse for the border crisis she facilitated, but she will also make it so much worse if she's elected in November.

But this election will not be easy, especially with the Harris-Biden Administration pulling out all the stops to thwart democracy. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) uses American tax dollars and resources to register voters in key Democrat areas of swing states. I questioned Jennifer Kim, the SBA’s Associate Administrator for Field Operations, about her leadership of this effort. She has an extensive resume of working for Democrat campaigns and causes and no small business experience, yet she was hired at the SBA to launch this effort to register voters in Michigan.

This blatant misuse of taxpayer funds is utterly unacceptable. The SBA has expanded outside its mission to orchestrate a voter registration operation to boost Democrat campaigns. I will continue to work with my colleagues to stop this outrageous and perhaps illegal abuse of taxpayer resources. Click here or below to watch my comments.

I met with Holly O’Neil, the President of Retail Banking at Bank of America, to discuss my efforts in Congress to ensure access to capital for all Americans, particularly small businesses. We discussed the state of the economy and ways Congress can best work toward pro-growth initiatives.

I had the pleasure of meeting Maj. Gen. Terrence Koudelka, the new Deputy Adjutant General – Air for the Pennsylvania National Guard. In this role, Maj. Gen. Koudelka will oversee the programs and operations of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, based at Fort Indiantown Gap. It was a valuable opportunity to connect with Maj. Gen. Koudelka, discuss the future and explore how I can support his efforts in Congress.

On Thursday evening, I welcomed Majority Whip Tom Emmer to an event in Northeast Pennsylvania dedicated to winning back the majority in Congress. Thank you to all who attended and donated.

On Friday, I attended the Lebanon County Fair. This is a great event that I look forward to attending every year. I even had the winning bid for the top steer. I was joined by so many great people from Lebanon County, including our good friend Mike Firestine. It was also great to be with Auditor General Tim DeFoor, who is doing an excellent job in Harrisburg. He has my complete and total endorsement for re-election.

A stop at the Lebanon County Fair would not be complete without a stop by the Lebanon County GOP booth. I enjoyed seeing State Representative John Schlegel, South Londonderry Township Commissioner Faith Bucks, 9th Congressional Trump Delegate Steven Wolf, and other great volunteers. They are pumped and ready for November.
