Dear John,
As the warmth of August invites us all to take a moment of rest and renewal, we wanted to let you know that the Lunch & Learn team will be taking a break from programming this month.
If you’re wondering how to fill your August Fridays, we have an important opportunity for you to stay engaged and make a difference. The Climate Council is currently working on the newest iteration of Maine Won’t Wait [[link removed]] , the state’s four-year plan for climate action. They are seeking community feedback on the draft recommendations [[link removed]] presented by the Working Groups, and they need to hear from you!
Take the Climate Council Survey! [[link removed]]
Set aside about 20 minutes – less than one Lunch & Learn! – to complete the full survey [[link removed]] , or tackle shorter surveys to weigh in on your preferred key areas. Each of these shorter surveys below takes about five minutes or less to complete.
Buildings, Infrastructure and Housing Survey: [link removed]
Energy Survey: [link removed]
Coastal & Marine Survey: [link removed]
Community Resilience Survey: [link removed]
Natural & Working Lands Survey: [link removed]
Transportation Survey: [link removed]
Materials Management Survey: [link removed]
Land Use Survey: [link removed]

We are deeply grateful for our dedicated audience, colleagues, partners, advocates, and volunteers. Your support and participation are what make our efforts impactful and meaningful.
We’ll be back online after Labor Day and will resume our regular Friday schedule. We have an incredible slate of programs lined up, from learning about the Island Institute’s innovative EV boat course to hearing from the Penobscot Nation Tribal Court about their nationally renowned Wellness to Healing program—and you might just see your favorite local weatherman.
See you then!
— Kathleen
