Friends -

Cori Bush is an activist, nurse, pastor, and community leader who is redefining what it means to be a member of Congress.

She has lived the struggles regular, everyday people endure and her mission since being elected is to do the very most for her community — starting with those who have the very least.

For that, she is facing $10 million in ads from outside groups trying to beat her. Her primary is coming up fast and she needs our help. If that's all you need to hear, please donate directly to her campaign using this link:

As you read this, Cori Bush is getting relentlessly attacked with ads on television and online by AIPAC. They have spent millions to defeat her and by the time the primary ends that number is sure to climb.

All this for one congressional seat in a Democratic primary from a group of extremely wealthy individuals who have unlimited amounts of money.

They do it through a Super PAC ironically named the United Democracy Project. And, quite cynically, for an organization whose mission is to support "Pro-Israel” candidates, their ads attacking Cori often have nothing to do with that issue at all. They don't even have the courage to talk about the issue they ostensibly support in their ads.

Cori Bush has been a very important voice in Congress. She has been a fearless advocate for economic, racial, social, and environmental justice in all forms.

It would be a shame if she was defeated.

But this is about more than Cori Bush.

How many members of Congress will have the courage to take on the insurance companies if an outside group will spend $10 million to defeat them in a primary election?

How many members of Congress will have the courage to take on income and wealth inequality if an outside group will spend $10 million to defeat them in a primary election?

How many members of Congress will have the courage to take on the right-wing extremist Netanyahu government if an outside group will spend $10 million to defeat them in a primary election?

That is also what this election is about, and why it's important we all do our part to support Cori Bush before it is too late.

So I am, once again, asking for your financial support:

Can Cori Bush and I count on you to contribute $27 or whatever you can afford directly to her campaign for Congress. Cori is fighting for her political life and needs our help before it's too late.
