Good afternoon,
350 Chicago is seeking candidates for our board of directors with the specific aim of filling the position of Treasurer. Will you help us find our new Treasurer?
The best candidate will have experience with bookkeeping or accounting, as well as a willingness to assist 350 Chicago in our efforts to further professionalize the board and the organization.
Over the course of the next year, 350 Chicago will update its budget and will continue implementing various fiscal processes, transparency procedures, and human resource policies. We need a Treasurer able to support the organization with these activities.
If you would like to apply for board membership and the position of Treasurer, please fill out the application form here. Applications are due August 15th, 2024.
If you know someone who would be a good fit, please share this opportunity.

Board Member Position
Serving on 350 Chicago’s Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is non-traditional -- we have strategically distributed a lot of the power of a traditional Board to other leadership bodies. It’s modeled after the “minimally viable Board” structure championed by the Sustainable Economies Law Center.
350 Chicago’s Board Members serve a two-year term, with eligibility for further terms.
Board meetings are held quarterly.
350 Chicago Board Members will consider 350 Chicago a philanthropic priority.
Service on 350 Chicago’s Board of Directors is without remuneration.

350 Chicago
350 Chicago is working to end local institutions’ investments in the fossil fuel industry and advocating for a swift transition to 100% clean energy in the region.
We got the city of Chicago to divest its fossil fuel holdings in 2022, and have now expanded our focus to divestment for the State of Illinois. We are also organizing in Chicago and across the state of Illinois, in collaboration with local and nationwide campaigns, to end the era of fossil fuels and support environmental justice.
