With just 100 days left until Election Day, the stakes are sky high. In the face of an opponent who lacks respect for our democracy and a national Republican Party determined to defeat me this November, I’m clear-eyed about what we need to do to win this toss-up race: stand together.

This is a historic time for our country, and we need to meet the moment. I know for certain Kamala Harris is prepared and ready for the job on day one.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated her integrity, commitment to the rule of law, and dedication to fighting for people – and I’m looking forward to fighting and winning together in North Carolina.

Folks will have the chance to choose between extremism and progress at every level of the ballot this November – and the future of our country hinges on what happens in North Carolina this election.

My opponent Mark Robinson and his far-right allies have a dangerous agenda, John. I have no doubt, if he wins, he and the GOP will enact a total abortion ban, forcing women to travel out of state for essential reproductive health care; leave North Carolinians voiceless by limiting their voting rights; and cut public education funding – leaving schools without the resources they need and keeping teachers underpaid.

Despite the danger he poses to our state, the polls still show me locked in a tie with Robinson – 37% to 37%. We won’t win without bringing the remaining undecided voters onto our side – and that won’t be easy.

It’s going to take all of us working together to keep my home state blue.
