John,

Starting tomorrow, July 29th, 2024, abortion care will not be accessible in Iowa after the first six weeks of pregnancy.

I have two things to say:

First, if you are in need of abortion care and you live in Iowa: there are still options for you to access abortion care. There are resources and volunteers who can help you regardless of your circumstances. You are not alone in this, people are here to help you. Click below to visit the websites for the National Abortion Federation or Planned Parenthood.

National Abortion Federation

Planned Parenthood

This is a hard day for all of us and we need to support one another.

Second, this is why elections matter. Governor Kim Reynolds — who supported and signed this near-total abortion ban — was elected in Sioux City by a 10 point margin. While in the legislature, extremist Republicans control almost two-thirds of seats in the Senate and the House.

The far-right has used their power to control our state, degrade our rights, and restrict reproductive care for thousands of Iowans.

Standing tall for our rights is easy when they're not under attack and when our rights are maliciously taken away, it can feel impossible to Stand Tall for All. But that moment is when it matters the most.

Working together, building a grassroots campaign, and empowering Iowa's voters is the only way for us to restore our rights. We need to Stand Tall for All, win elections, and defeat extremists.

Abortion rights matter for each and every one of us. If you are ready to stand up and fight for those rights with me, can you donate $11 today to help grow our movement and win back our abortion rights in Iowa?

Stand Tall for Abortion Rights

Stand Tall for All.
