We’ve witnessed a tragic attempted political assassination.
Far-right extremist JD Vance elevated as Donald Trump’s running mate.
A divisive Republican convention that was chock-full of angry rhetoric, but short on policy solutions for the American people.
President Biden following in George Washington’s footsteps in voluntarily choosing not to seek re-election this November — a selfless act that cements his legacy as a true patriot and public servant.
And Vice President Kamala Harris winning widespread support to become the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party.
All of that in the month of July!
Between now and November, things are going to keep moving quickly — and we have a lot of work to do.
I’m running for re-election to the U.S. Senate because I’ve made it my life’s mission to stand up for Virginia. I’m running to help Democrats keep control of the Senate majority. And I’m running to make sure Virginia’s 13 electoral votes go to our next president, Kamala Harris.
The grassroots support that has surged into our campaign, into Kamala’s campaign, and into Democratic campaigns all around the country during July has been nothing short of phenomenal — if you’ve had a chance to step up and pitch in to a candidate you believe in, THANK YOU! Your support is so, so important to this work — it simply can’t be done without you.
But alongside our own grassroots surge, the GOP has seen a massive influx of support, too — both for the Trump-Vance campaign and for my opponent Hung Cao.
