I’ll get right to it — our election is in 100 days, which means the attacks against us are about to get even tougher.

It’s vital that we get our fundraising on a good track for the final 100 days of this race to get our message out when it counts. Will you please help us catch up to our July fundraising goal before our upcoming monthly deadline?

Here’s a brief rundown of what we’re up against in this race:

  • Extremist super PACs that have been spending huge amounts to attack me because they want to replace me with a candidate who will support a national abortion ban.

  • Speaker Mike Johnson personally wiring money to my opponent, because he knows flipping this district is the pathway to hanging onto his razor-thin, four-seat House majority.

  • A Kansas Republican Party that has publicly stated their goal is to block abortion, IVF access, Medicaid expansion, and same-sex marriage here in Kansas — and that sees me as the biggest obstacle to their agenda, since I’m our state’s only elected Democrat at the federal level.

I know my team and I have been a little more aggressive than usual this week when it comes to these emails, and I’m sorry to bug you on a Sunday.

But this is why. Given all the challenges we’re facing — and the stakes of this race when it comes to the direction of the country — I hope you can understand why we have to work as hard as we are to meet our fundraising goal this weekend.

One last thing: all the groups working to defeat me, including my opponent and his campaign, are acting like I should be afraid of running on my record. But they’re wrong. I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished together.

I’m proud of our work to lower prescription drug costs, tackle climate change, reduce gun violence, and create good-paying clean-energy jobs here in Kansas.

I’m proud of delivering funds for vital infrastructure projects here in our state — to provide folks here with cleaner water, better roads, and more reliable broadband access.

And I’m proud to be absolutely steadfast in my support for abortion rights — and my opposition to my colleagues’ attempts to ban abortion nationwide, and IVF along with it.

If you support my record, then please help me make sure everyone in this district knows about it by November by pitching in a few dollars today.
