Friend, I just checked ActBlue, and I've got to be brutally honest with you: Our fundraising numbers are nowhere near where they need to be to reach our $1,000,000 end-of-month goal.

The good news is, we've got three hours before I need to update Colin. If we can get 1,000 more donations before then, I'd feel A LOT better about our chances of reaching this goal. Can I count on you to rush $5 or more before I meet with Colin in a few hours?

Look, I know we send you a lot of emails, and I know these goals can feel arbitrary. But they're some of the steps we have to take to beat Ted Cruz, and every goal really does matter. 

Colin's doing his part – hitting the campaign trail day after day and week after week – inspiring voters with his message of progress and hope for new leadership in Texas. But we need to do our part to make sure he has the resources to keep it up.

If we fall short now, we'll have to make some tough decisions over the next few months. And in this neck-and-neck race, pulling back anywhere could cost us our one and only chance to defeat Ted Cruz.

So please, I'm personally asking, as Colin's finance director and as a Texan who knows how desperately we need a new Senator: Will you chip in $5 or more right now?
