The climate crisis needs to be top of mind for voters this November. Monday was the hottest day ever recorded in human history, beating the record set just the day before. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is doubling down on his promise to "drill, baby, drill," and at the RNC, he vowed to shut down funding for a transition to green energy, calling it a "Green New scam." Then, he and J.D. Vance went on Fox News and spread lies about wind turbines, claiming that wind energy is a hoax.

But this isn’t just rhetoric. Project 2025 offers a step-by-playbook on how to dismantle our environmental protections and bolster fossil fuels. If Trump wins in November, he will gut the EPA, ramp up oil drilling, give MAGA Republican state officials (many of whom are allies of Big Oil) power over regulation of polluting industries, and so much more.

And just to underline how deep in Big Oil’s pockets Trump is, look at his Vice Presidential pick: J.D. Vance. Vance has a history of shilling for fossil fuel interests. He is one of the top recipients of oil and gas money, a vocal supporter of fracking, and has said he doesn’t believe climate change is a threat.

This duo is poised to push us into a full-scale climate catastrophe. We can’t allow it to happen.
