My colleagues Senator Jon Tester of Montana and Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio are running in two of this year’s most critical — and competitive — U.S. Senate elections.
And I’ll just be blunt: out of all the Democratic senators up for re-election, they are the GOP’s top targets.
They’re the only Senate Democrats running for re-election in states that Trump won twice. They’re neck-and-neck in the polls against multi-millionaire Republicans who’ve poured millions of dollars into their campaigns. And they’re up against millions more in outside spending from right-wing Super PACs.
Now, Jon Tester and Sherrod Brown have won tough elections before, and they can win again — but only with strong grassroots support.
To hold onto our Democratic U.S. Senate majority and hold off Donald Trump’s extreme Project 2025 agenda, we must re-elect Jon Tester and Sherrod Brown. Will you split a contribution between our three campaigns today? $5 or whatever you can contribute would go a long way.
If we re-elect Jon Tester and Sherrod Brown, they will keep making us proud.
Jon Tester is a champion for Montanans and working families in Congress. He’s tough as nails, he’s got a heart bigger than the state of Montana, and he centers every decision on the needs of working people — because he understands those needs down to his bones. He’s the only working farmer in the Senate, and he and his wife, Sharla, work on the same land that his grandparents tended more than 100 years ago. Recently, he led the effort to pass the PACT Act, which provides care and benefits to service members exposed to toxins, and he’s working to make sure the law delivers results.
And Sherrod Brown fights from the heart for working people in Ohio and across the country. He grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, in a community of ironworkers, carpenters, autoworkers, and electricians, spending summers working on his family's farm. He’s seen manufacturing jobs shipped overseas because of trade deals benefiting giant corporations. And he’s dedicated his life to fighting for the dignity of work. As Chair of the Banking Committee, he takes on big banks and fights to make our economy work for everyone, not just Wall Street CEOs.
Both of these races are pure toss-ups — and they are set to decide whether we can ensure the right to an abortion, protect Social Security and Medicare, and put Washington on the side of the people.
If it makes sense for you right now, please split a donation of any amount between Jon Tester, Sherrod Brown, and me to help defend our majority.
Thanks for being part of this,
