Donald Trump's new party line is, "I have nothing to do with Project 2025." Someone should have told his running mate.

Dear MoveOn member,

Donald Trump's new party line is, "I have nothing to do with Project 2025."1 Someone should have told his running mate.

A new book about Project 2025 by the plan's architect, Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts, is about to be released, and guess who wrote the foreword? J.D. Vance.2

In the book, Vance touts the Project 2025 plan as a "a genuinely new future for conservatism," and he writes, "We are now all realizing that it's time to circle the wagons and load the muskets. In the fights that lay ahead, these ideas are an essential weapon."3

This is the man Trump chose to be second in command for the White House, and it is clear—from Vance to Stephen Miller to 140 other Trump administration officials in charge of the plan—all Project 2025 roads lead to Trump.4

We not only need to warn voters about Project 2025 but to ensure they understand that this is Trump's plan. We're showing voters the difference between a future under Trump's Project 2025 and a future of progress under President Kamala Harris.

Will you donate $5 a month to MoveOn's election work to elect Harris and defeat Trump's Project 2025 dystopian future?

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

It's not just that so many of Trump's cronies are involved in Project 2025—it's that they have confirmed Trump has been on board since the beginning.

Paul Dans, the director of Project 2025, said clearly: "Trump's very bought in with this." And Roberts himself said he had briefed Trump on the plan last year.5

But now, the Trump-Vance ticket is trying to make Project 2025 and all of its extremist ideas disappear.

Trump has said dozens of times he didn't know about Project 2025 and is trying to backtrack on his abortion policy, which has received much of the spotlight.6

And in the past three days, Vance has erased the "END ABORTION" section of his Senate campaign website, in which he described himself as "100 percent pro-life."7

Meanwhile, the architects of Project 2025 are trying to parse words and make specious claims to soften the public's impression of the extremist plan. For instance, they claim that Project 2025 doesn't specifically call for an abortion ban—when it very clearly calls for fetal personhood, which has the exact same outcome.8 Or they're claiming there are no attacks on health care, when the plan specifically calls for privatizing Medicare.9

We have to stop the MAGA machine from erasing the truth about Trump's Project 2025. Will you donate $5 a month to power and sustain our work?

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

The Harris campaign needs to resource a national campaign, pick a vice presidential candidate, and officially clinch the Democratic nomination. Our focus must be on educating voters who don't pay close attention to politics about Vice President Harris's vision for a country that works for all of us and juxtaposing the Project 2025 policies Trump and his cronies plan to put in place if he wins in November.

We have the infrastructure and the people power to make that happen!

We're already redoubling our work with a newly energized, research-based, multifaceted campaign to engage, motivate, and mobilize 1.5 million surge voters—those who need a bit of a push to go to the polls in swing states and districts.

We are rolling out our cadre of social media influencers and mobilizing MoveOn members to talk to these surge voters about the real difference between a Harris future and a Trump one. But we need to ramp up this work. Despite the major uptick in energy, we are in uncharted territory and have only 101 days left until Election Day—and a huge amount of work to do to reach the critical voters in battleground states who will decide this election.

Start a monthly donation of $5 to MoveOn's $32 million campaign to drive up voter turnout, elect Harris, defeat Trump, and deliver a massive blow to MAGA this November.

Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn? The MAGA right is declaring war, and Project 2025 is their battle plan. Project 2025 threatens our rights, attacks communities of color, hurts middle- and working-class families, and undermines our democracy. But we will not back down or let Trump steamroll our nation.

Will you start a monthly donation to power and sustain MoveOn's election plan, stop Trump, and ensure Project 2025 is never enacted?

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
