Elise’s Resolution Condemning Kamala Harris’ Role as Open Border Czar Passes House with 6 Democrats Voting in Support!

On Tuesday, Elise introduced a resolution condemning Kamala Harris’ role as Joe Biden’s “border czar,” leading to the gravest national security threat and economic threat facing our nation. The resolution garnered bipartisan support and was passed by the House of Representatives on Thursday. Despite what you hear from Biden’s cheerleaders in the mainstream media, Americans recognize this is the most catastrophic open border crisis in history. No matter what congressional district or what state you poll, this is the number one issue for voters in 2024.

Elise gave the following statement after Thursday morning’s vote –

“Today my resolution condemning Kamala Harris for her role as Joe Biden’s open border czar passed the House. Let me be clear: Harris and every elected Democrat owns this historic border crisis that has turned every community into a border community. It is time that we return to President Donald Trump’s border security policies that put the safety of American citizens first. At our Northern Border in the Swanton Sector, I have seen firsthand with the Border Patrol the disastrous consequences of Kamala Harris’ failed Far Left open border agenda which caused a historic surge in illegal crossings like we have never seen at our Northern Border before including individuals on the terrorist watchlist. Kamala Harris didn’t just create a national security crisis, but a humanitarian crisis that has endangered the lives of millions. House Republicans will secure the border.”

RESULTS: Elise Votes to Pass Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act

Wednesday evening, the House passed another major appropriations bill which will deliver millions in funding for community and infrastructure projects across New York’s 21st Congressional District. As the appropriations process continues, Elise will keep fighting to secure Real Results for Upstate New York and the North Country. Some of the highlights from this legislation include –

• $1.7 million to the Town of Lake Luzerne Drinking Water project.
• $1 million to the Town of Richmondville Wastewater Treatment project.
• $2 million to the Village of Evans Mills Wastewater Treatment project.
• $2 million to the Village of Broadalbin Drinking Water project.
• $2 million to the Village of Port Leyden Drinking Water project.
• $2 million to the Village of Hudson Falls Drinking Water project.
• $1.59 million to the Town of Herkimer Wastewater Treatment project.

LAKE CHAMPLAIN-LAKE GEORGE REGIONAL PLANNING BOARD AWARD

Even before the Interior Appropriations package passed, Elise was working on delivering Real Results for NY-21. On July 19, she secured another victory when the Northern Border Regional Commission approved a grant for the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning board. The NBRC will be providing $250,000 for the North Country Cellular Deployment Planning project. Elise stated–

“I’m proud to announce that following my advocacy, the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board has been awarded $250,000 to support their work in providing the Adirondacks with reliable cell coverage. Expanding broadband and cell service has been one of my top priorities for our region.”

Elise Serves on Official Escort Committee for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Historic Joint Address

Ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s historic Joint Address to Congress, Elise served on the Official Escort Committee, welcoming the Prime Minister to the chamber as warmly as the Knesset welcomed Elise in May. While Israel defends itself against relentless and vicious Iranian-backed terrorists, House Republicans maintain their ironclad commitment to supporting our most precious ally. Following the address, Elise stated –

“I’m proud to welcome Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to our nation’s Capitol at a time when ensuring strong U.S. support for Israel is more critical than ever. Since Hamas’s barbaric October 7th terrorist attack against Israel it has never been more clear that Israel is serving as a xxxxxx against Iran’s violent aspirations in the Middle East. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech is a stark reminder that Israel is currently facing existential threats from Iranian-sponsored proxies on multiple different fronts and the U.S. cannot abandon our ally as they fight against this evil. As I said during my address to the Israeli Knesset, we will not rest until every hostage kidnapped during the horrific October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks is returned home. JOE BIDEN AND KAMALA HARRIS REFUSE TO GREET PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU OR ATTEND HIS ADDRESS TO CONGRESS

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received his first slight from the Biden-Harris Administration upon his arrival in Washington, D.C. Tuesday afternoon. The president, vice president, and Secretary of State Blinken refused to greet Prime Minister Netanyahu on the tarmac, a courtesy typically extended to foreign leaders. The second slight came when Vice President Harris announced she would not be attending Netanyahu’s address to Congress. Instead of fulfilling her constitutional duty as president of the Senate and presiding over the special session, Harris delegated Senator Ben Cardin (MD) to preside over the address as president pro tempore.

Elise stated on X –

“Kamala Harris is refusing to attend the Joint Address by Israeli Prime Minister [Netanyahu]. Today’s Democrat Party has turned their back on our most precious ally Israel, instead seeking to appease the Democrat Party’s radical antisemitic base. The American people will hold Kamala Harris and all elected Democrats accountable for their moral bankruptcy on Election Day.

ELISE CALLS OUT KAMALA HARRIS AND CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS ON AMERICA’S NEWSROOM

On Wednesday, Elise joined America’s Newsroom to discuss Kamala Harris and the Far Left Democrats snubbing Prime Minister Netanyahu and their unceasing appeasement of pro-terror radicals. When asked about the absence of Kamala Harris and more than 100 Democrats at the Prime Minister’s address, Elise said –

“It is a snub and a boycott and it is absolutely a disgrace the sitting Vice President of the United States would not attend what I believe will be one of the most important speeches at one of the gravest national security threats the world faces. . . This is today’s Democrat party. It’s a disgrace”

IRAN, HOUTHIS, HEZBOLLAH TAKE ADVANTAGE OF BIDEN'S WEAKNESS

Last Friday, Iranian-backed Houthi militants conducted a drone attack in Tel Aviv just a few hundred feet away from the U.S. Consulate. On Tuesday, another Iranian proxy attacked an American base in western Iraq. All the while, Hezbollah is firing barrage after barrage of rockets over Israel’s northern border. Our enemies are growing bolder as they continue to see weakness from the Biden-Harris Administration. Now more than ever, the United States needs a strong leader on the world stage who can stand by our ally Israel and deliver peace through strength.

ELISE DEMANDS ANSWERS FROM JOE BIDEN

The Biden-Harris Administration’s lackluster support of Israel is unacceptable, and Elise is demanding answers. On Tuesday she sent a letter to President Biden, cosigned by Senator Bill Hagerty (TN), calling out the Administration’s ambiguous policies and demanding a response to a simple question: “Do you agree that Israel has a right to its own self defense?” The pair demand Biden clarify why he is not holding Hezbollah or Lebanon accountable for violating the UN Resolution which ended the 2006 Lebanon War – a war that began with Hezbollah rocket strikes into Israel. Elise stated on X –

“I joined [Senator Bill Hagerty] in demanding answers from the Biden-Harris Administration on their failure to stand with our most precious ally Israel. The U.S. must clearly support Israel’s right to defend its sovereign borders against Hezbollah’s persistent attacks which have killed dozens of Israeli civilians and decimated the agricultural production of northern Israel.”

Joe Biden is Clearly Unfit for Office, Elise Calls for Biden to Resign

Joe Biden is unfit to be Commander-in-chief. The American people know it. The media knows it. Democrats know it. The White House knows it. Following Joe Biden’s announcement that he was suspending his campaign, Elise stated –

“If Joe Biden can’t run for re-election, he is unable and unfit to serve as President of the United States. He must immediately resign.

The Democrat Party is in absolute free fall for their blatantly corrupt and desperate attempt to cover up the fact that Joe Biden is unfit for office.

Every elected Democrat in America owns Joe Biden’s failed and feckless record causing the border crisis, Bidenflation, and chaos and weakness around the world.

ELISE DENOUNCES DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND MAINSTREAM MEDIA FOR DISENFRANCHISING PRIMARY VOTERS

The Democrats and media elites have been running coverage for Biden for years. They kept Americans from seeing the true extent of Biden's deterioration until the June presidential debate– months after the final Democratic primaries had concluded and mere weeks before the Democratic National Convention. Elise stated on X –

“Back-room donors, Democrat elites, and their stenographers in the mainstream media conspired in this direct attack on democracy by successfully forcing out the candidate who secured the necessary votes to serve as the general election candidate.

As I have consistently said, it is the Democrat Party and elected Democrats who are attacking democracy.

They are disenfranchising the votes of 14 million voters in the Democrat primary - all because they hid Joe Biden’s unfitness for office and now are reaping the deserved plummeting polls.

Secret Service Director Cheatle Resigns

“We failed.” That is what Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle told Congress at Monday’s hearing with the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. She agreed that under her watch, the Secret Service was responsible for the “most significant operational failure” since the assassination attempt against President Ronald Reagan in 1981. Cheatle was unable to answer even the most basic questions from members and, following her testimony, Chairman James Comer (KY) and Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (MD) released a joint letter calling for her resignation. Cheatle announced her departure on Tuesday morning. Elise stated –

“The resignation of USSS Director Cheatle is long overdue. The failure to answer basic questions over the last ten days and at yesterday’s Congressional hearing was a disgrace. House Republicans will not rest until we have 100% transparency and accountability.”

Hochul Administration Closing Great Meadow Correctional Facility

On July 18, the New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) announced two correctional facilities would be closing in early November: the Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Washington County and the maximum-security facility in Sullivan County. The New York State Budget includes provisions that give Governor Hochul the ability to close an additional three prisons with only 90 days notice. Following the announcement, Elise stated –

“I am calling on Governor Kathy Hochul to reverse her disastrous decision to close correctional facilities across New York State which will impact hundreds of jobs, unravel communities, and overcrowd our remaining prisons making them more dangerous for our law enforcement officers. Hochul’s careless prison closures abandons our hardworking correctional officers and the communities they work tirelessly to keep safe. Instead of addressing low staffing and retention issues, Hochul has used the opportunity to advance the Far Left Democrats’ agenda of rewarding criminals and punishing the victims of their crimes. This will end in disaster for the Empire State.”
